On the day LMU would have three sacrifice bunts to help their offense. Both Perez and Whitesell would advance on sophomore Jonathan Higashi's sacrifice bunt. Senior Tommy Perez would then reach after he was hit by a pitch.

Zacuto, who was hit by a pitch three times in the game, would score on sophomore Joshua Whitesell's double down the right field line. Trailing 4-2, senior Kris Zacuto would get hit by a pitch to start the game. LMU would give Huddy the win with a three-run sixth inning that completed the Lions comeback.

Lovato would earn his first save of the season. Junior Nicholas Lovato would strikeout pinch hitter Anthony Jimenez for the final out of the game. Junior Kevin Jenson would get the first two outs of the ninth inning before giving up a triple to Luke Gradishar, only the sixth hit for the Dons on the day. It was the longest outing by an LMU starter this season as Huddy struck out four on the day.
